A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Engineering Assistant will work independently to document processes for multiple work areas in a custom job-shop manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for documenting all relevant production related processes as well as facilitating the implementation of requested changes. A good candidate for this position must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

In order to be successful in this role you’ll need to be able to:

  • Prioritize multiple internal requests
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Be comfortable working in an environment with a wide variety of products and processes
  • Accurately interpret instructions from multiple formats.
  • Effectively communicate instructions utilizing various media formats
  • Productively work with every level of the organization

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • Completion of some college coursework
  • An educational focus in an area of science/technology
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience designing process workflows in a manufacturing environment
