Youth and Sports Instructor

The Pre-School / Youth Instructor, under the supervision of the Families and Youth Program Director, provides safe, motivational and knowledgeable instruction to all members and participants. The instructor is responsible for the safety and proper instruction of all class activities and will help champion a culture of service excellence and support and advocate the mission and values of the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be 15 years of age or older;
• Prior experience in preschool/youth sports, arts, music or enrichment either from employment or self participation;
• Complete Child Abuse Online training prior to or on first day of hire. Complete Employee Orientation offered on the beginning of each month.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with others.
• Must have good human relations’ skills to facilitate positive relationships with staff, volunteers, parents, members and program participants.
• Must be committed to the Merrimack Valley YMCA’s mission, goals, and Character Development.
