As an Assistant Site Coordinator, your role will be crucial in supporting the Site Coordinator to provide a fun and memorable after school experience for the children enrolled in the program. Your primary focus will be on helping children between the ages of 4 and 16 years old develop socially, emotionally, and physically through structured and creative play and learning opportunities. You will help to ensure the day to day operations of the program are running smoothly, and our coaches are supported in a positive, team-friendly environment.

As an Assistant Site Coordinator, you can expect to…

  • Plan and execute the activities in coordination with the program staff and supervisors

  • Create a team-friendly environment with positivity

  • Support the Site Coordinator with the planning and facilitation of any special events or projects at the program

  • Engage with children at the program, and identify and respond to children’s behavior issues

  • Inform Site Coordinator of child/staff problems which impact on the health or safety of any Kids in the Game child.  No issue or concern is too small to share!

  • Demonstrate organizational skills: lesson planning, timelines, meet deadlines, following schedules and set goals

  • Attend staff outings to take a break and enjoy time with coworkers outside of camp

Weekly Schedule: Assistant Site Coordinators are expected to work 10-15 hours per week in after school programs located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.

  • Most afterschool programs run between the hours of 3 - 6pm, five days per week.

  • Assistant Site Coordinators may also be expected to have one morning of office hours to connect and collaborate with the Site Coordinator for program planning.

Compensation: This is a part-time, contracted position that runs from September 2023 - June 2024. We offer competitive hourly rates in the range of $26-28 per hour for Assistant Site Coordinators based on prior experience in site supervision and management.
