Position Summary: The ECE Division Coordinator is the main point of contact for camp counselors and floaters working in the ECE division during ISDenver Summer Programs. The Division Coordinator works closely with the Camp Director and other staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and meaningful camp experience for all young campers.

Division Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Camp leadership team to understand and execute ECE summer camp schedule

  • Attend and participate in all pre-camp and in-camp meetings and trainings

  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of all children in the program, adhering to relevant regulations and best practices.

  • Monitor health and safety protocols, including emergency procedures

  • Be available for escalated issues during weekly summer camps

  • Coordinate floaters in ECE during camp hours

  • Ensure help and supplies are provided to ECE classrooms

  • Coordinate snack and lunch delivery in ECE

  • Complete the ECE Licensing Checklist every morning for each camp classroom and/or outdoor space.

  • Complete maintenance requests required for safe operation of Kimak building

  • Complete week-end classroom inspections and report to Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director

  • Work with Camp Administrative Assistants and Floaters to ensure weekly camp materials for ECE camps are prepared

ECE Lead Camp Counselor responsibilities include:

  • Follow lesson plans and activities that fit the children’s needs and interests.

  • Provide a safe and healthy environment, both physically and mentally, to ensure the operation of a quality summer camp program.

  • Ensure children are aware of rules, and daily scheduled routines.

  • Appropriately respond to and redirect undesirable camper behavior.

  • Report all accidents to the Camp Director or Assistant Camp Director and Director of Licensing, and complete proper health log and/or accident/incident form according to camp policies and procedures.

  • Make sure proper procedures are followed for sign-in/out of children on a daily basis

  • Attend all staff meetings and in-service as required.

  • Take responsibility for the quality of the supplies, equipment and materials.

  • Interact positively and energetically with all campers, parents/guardians, and staff.

  • Display responsibility and professionalism.

  • Work after-care twice per week (3:45pm-5:30pm)

  • All other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Must be ECE lead teacher qualified.

  • Must be computer literate; Examples - database navigation, Google applications

  • English proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Level B2 required, C1+ preferred (based on Common European Framework of References for Languages) or equivalent certification such as TOEFL or IETLS.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

  • Collaborative, team-oriented, globally- and open-minded, innovative, and compassionate

  • Professionalism, punctuality, reliability, and an ability to exercise sound judgment and analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations related to early childhood programs.

  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training available prior to start of camp)

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms and see, talk and hear

  • The employee may occasionally be required to bend, stoop or kneel

Location and Schedule: Our camps run Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm.

  • Summer Programs run June 10th-August 16th. There are limited camp options in August.

    • For those looking for additional hours, there are opportunities to work pre-camp the last few weeks in May.

This job does not have remote work flexibility.
