Developmental Pathways has a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Therapist (OT) in our Early Intervention department. As an OT, you will get to provide occupational therapy services for children, who are eligible, within the child's natural setting or via telehealth. As an OT, you will be responsible for following home health agency policies and documentation within the appropriate systems in order to provide quality services to our families and individuals. You will get to collaborate with other therapeutic disciplines, service coordinators and caregivers to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) and/or Plans of Care.
This position will be based out of our Inverness office in the Denver Metro area, just south of the Denver Tech Center in Englewood, CO. We’re committed to a great work-life balance here, so our offices are open Monday – Thursday and are closed on Fridays! This is a full-time 36-hour/week position.

More about what you’ll get to do as our Occupational Therapist
  • Develop and implement IFSPs or Care Plans to meet individualized family/ child outcomes and functional goals
  • Respond to individual and family requests as well as help families determine priorities for services
  • Perform consultative visits and standardized or play-based assessments
  • Partner with service coordinators, Child Find teams and other community partners who serve young children to deliver early intervention services 
  • Attend and participate in IFSP and care coordination meetings
  • Respond promptly and professionally to service coordinators’, team members’ or community partners’ requests regarding individuals in services
  • Ensure adherence to Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities/DIDD rules and regulations and agency policies and procedures in provision of services
  • Complete all program-related documentation through agency’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or other systems
  • Assure paperwork submitted by other service providers, individuals in service and community partners is completed as required
  • Maintain appropriate, effective, and respectful communication with persons served, family members, supervisors, other staff, agencies, and organizations

Must haves to be our Occupational Therapist

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s equivalent; NBCOT certification and licensure in Colorado, required
  • Two (2) years experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
  • Working knowledge of rules and regulations for home health agencies, strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and private insurance billing
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations for Early Intervention 
  • Knowledge of KanTime, preferred
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations for the Division of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of the developmental disability system, rules and regulations
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and be able to use these and other required programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; effectively and professionally communicate with individuals in services, families, staff and others
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
  • Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and provide proof of motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements - no suspensions/revocations in the past 3 years and no more than 3 moving violations/tickets in the past 3 years
