Description

Summary of Position

The Stewardship Associate is responsible for fulfilling the vision of the Stewardship and Generosity Ministry by supporting the administrative and organizational needs of the ministry, equipping volunteers, and engaging and connecting Summit members to discipleship opportunities.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Administrative gifting; strong organizational skills; detail-oriented

  • Ability to multi-task and lead numerous projects with clarity, flexibility, and focus

  • Able to think creatively and engage leaders within the Summit to coordinate projects

  • Highly relational and loves to build networks and create connections

  • Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experienced disciple-maker eager to disciple others in stewardship and generosity

  • Has demonstrated a generous life (including financial generosity to their local church) and lives out faithful stewardship in personal finances and time management

  • Discretion in handling personal and/or confidential information

  • Committed to developing a thorough understanding of what God’s word says specifically about stewardship and generosity

  • A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Stewardship & Generosity Team 

    • Daily support including phone, email, note-taking, project management, etc.

    • Writing and editing for both internal and external communication (i.e., communication to volunteers, members, and staff; website and blog content; etc.)

    • Oversee components of stewardship systems such as correspondence to members through mailers and personalized communication

    • Develop and refine processes for Stewardship Ministry programs

    • Create, plan, and execute events for groups ranging from small groups to midsize gatherings (i.e., Quarterly Stewardship Volunteer Equip, Leadership Meetings, etc.)

    • Data management, tracking, and analysis in church-wide database

  • Project Manager for churchwide stewardship initiatives

    • Work with Pastor of Stewardship and Generosity to develop and execute churchwide stewardship initiatives

    • Manage large church-wide stewardship initiatives through proactive planning, convening Summit staff to delegate responsibilities, and ensuring tasks are completed

    • Help develop creative and innovative approach to engage our church with stewardship and generosity

  • Volunteer Coordinator

    • Connect with and engage Stewardship Ministry volunteers

    • Attend quarterly volunteer gatherings and monthly stewardship leadership team meetings

  • Proactively disciple members of the Summit looking to grow in stewardship and generosity

    • Work with the Pastor of Stewardship on identifying and engaging Summit members passionate about stewardship and generosity

    • Cultivate relationships through various channels (phone calls, emails, one-on-one meetings, etc.)

    • Work with the Pastor of Stewardship and Generosity to connect women to discipleship opportunities (events, discussions, meetings) and help them take the next step in their faith journey with the Summit
