As a Donor Relations Coordinator you will be responsible for critical areas such as coordinating accurate and timely donor inquiries/correspondence, receipt processing, direct mailing and event support, to help meet the department’s strategic objectives to raise funds and manage and build strong donor relationships. 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain primary responsibility for incoming donor inquiries promptly, respectfully, and effectively, including receiving donations, adjusting account preferences, and responding to written/email/phone donor inquiries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all donors and Mission partners to support donor pipeline.
    • Work with Prospect Officer and Donor Relations Director to triage potential relationships to the Donor Relations and Principal Team as needed by completing daily acknowledgment calls to non-portfolio donors of $500 to $2500.
    • Support the Development team in all individual donor fundraising activities, including but not limited to, acknowledgment letters, thank you cards, and donor appreciation gifts.
    • Redirect calls and emails from portfolio donors to their assigned relationship manager.
  • Ensure timely reminder treatment for pledge giving and interrupted recurring gifts.
  • Provide support for all mid and major donor engagement experiences and events including Catalyst, the Mission’s annual event and donor tours.
  • Working with Donor Relations Director, train and coordinate department interns/volunteers.
  • Maintain clean donor database, including updating donor records and communication entries.
  • Attend all Mission meetings and training sessions, as required.
  • Any other job-related duties or special projects as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • College degree or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in customer service/fundraising role or relevant experience.

 

Work Environment

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment. Requires frequent use of computers, keyboarding and talking on the telephone. Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, bend, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Required for this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
