Description

The Credit Analyst is a member of our lending team. The position is responsible for analyzing credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit. Producing forecasts of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making lending decisions is also a component of the position.

 

Position responsibilities include:

  • Complete Loan Request Summaries and schedule loan updates for submission to Loan Officers for approval.
  • Compare liquidity, profitability and credit histories of establishments or banks being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
  • Analyze financial data such as income growth, quality of management and market share to determine expected profitability of loan customers.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Bank's lending policies and procedures and identify exceptions to policy.
  • Ensure loan files are complete and identify and report documentation deficiencies.
  • Coordinate loan committee meetings and conference calls and monitor the receipt of loan committee votes.
  • Gather and prepare various department reports for management, Board of Directors, and downstream committees on a timely basis.
  • Manage and monitor the selling of loans to sub-participants, when necessary
  • Monitor assigned loan portfolio on a continuous basis.
  • Perform other job related duties, as needed.
Qualifications

The credit analyst position offers the opportunity for growth within the role and beyond. BBOK will train the candidate as needed. 

 

Position qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • One to three years of finance experience.
  • Ability to organize and multi-task.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A strong acumen for comparing, evaluating, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The capacity to exercise good judgement. 
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft and Excel. 
  • Must be willing to travel for inspections and customer calls periodically.
