Position Description

Keshet is currently seeking an experienced RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) to work in our schools located in Northbrook and Skokie. This is a full time position Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm during the school year (mid-August to mid-June) with option for additional employment during our ESY (extended school year) program. This position will work directly under the Keshet Behavior Specialist.


Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate skill acquisition from a behavioral standpoint for both students and staff.
  • Work with students and staff on behavior based programming.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in creating data sheets, taking/collecting data, and working with Keshet Behavior Specialist to analyze data.
  • Assist staff with data management and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Keshet Behavior Specialist and the multidisciplinary team on developing FBAs (Functional Behavior Analysis) and BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans)
  • Must be trained in Safety Care (through Keshet) and be able to follow, teach, and implement Safety Care Protocol.
  • As directed, act as a classroom paraeducator providing hands on support and instruction to students and teachers.
  • Implement discrete ABA type instruction with students.
  • Teach classroom skills within behavioral framework.
  • Train/mentor staff.
  • Maintain behavioral plans.
  • Minimum one year experience working with students with significant intellectual and behavioral disabilities required
  • High School diploma or equivalent and RBT certified
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; including ability to float between multiple locations: Northbrook (K-8th) and Skokie (High School and Transition)
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Must maintain a current certification in CPR and Safety Care, provided through Keshet

*Sign on bonus will be paid after successfully completing 90 days of employment
