Job Qualifications:

  1. Brewing experience and /or direct craft beer industry professional background.
  2. Passion for and experience in craft beer
  3. Experience in sales with a proven track record managing and growing revenue and profitability whilst maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  4. Strong business acumen and excellent written and oral communication skills, with major focus on delivering high-standard customer service.
  5. Highly independent and organized but who is also able to work closely with an international team
  6. College degree preferred.
  7. Full French Driver’s License with no endorsements
  8. Candidate must be a native-level English speaker and be based in France with right to live & work

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  1. Execute a sales and relationship management strategy for the territory and portfolio of accounts.
  2. Generate leads, prepare quotations, undertake product demonstrations and follow up enquiries
  3. Ability and motivation to travel extensively throughout the region to build relationships with new and existing brewery customers.
  4. Coordinate sales activities and represent Yakima Chief Hops at association meetings, trade shows and beer festivals.
  5. Work directly with the UK & European sales team to expand sales and execute on channel strategy.
  6. Address special requests and respond to contract and spot order inquiries.
  7. Work directly with customers to explore forward contracting options, volume discounts and formulate multi-year hop contracts.
  8. Provide regular reports on activities and sales projections
  9. Communicate new product opportunities, industry trends and customer feedback internally
  10. Work with sales and marketing staff to initiate creative marketing and promotional plans.
  11. Perform administrative duties, such as use of CRM and filing expense account reports.
  12. Proactively seek continued education in beer styles, brewing techniques and hop products
  13. Maintain sanitary and safe work environment.
  14. Follow safety requirements.
  15. Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
  16. Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
  17. Must adhere to all company policies.
  18. Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
  19. Follow all SOPs in each area.
  20. Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
