Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Security Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience installing access control hardware and software, as well as network video surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong installation and cabling skills, low voltage electrical experience, and a solid understanding of IT fundamentals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain access control and network video surveillance systems.
- Perform cabling and low voltage electrical work to support security system installations.
- Conduct site assessments to determine security needs and system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security systems.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure their security needs are met effectively.
- Provide training and support to clients and team members on the use of security systems.
- Work in various settings, including industrial, educational, governmental, and outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications in Genetec or Axis Communications products.
- Experience as a trainer or instructor in security systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
