Tax Intern – Winter/Spring 2024

Anders winter/spring internships run January – April and will be in-person in our office in St. Louis, MO.  Interested candidates should apply to ONE internship posting for 2024. 

Preferred earliest graduation date: May 2024
Preferred latest graduation date: December 2025

As an intern with the Tax Services Department, you will be responsible for the preparation of trust and individual income tax returns, as well as analyzing tax notices and drafting responses, assisting in tax planning, the preparation of tax projections and performing tax research.  You will learn our tax project tracking software, CCH Axcess.  You may also provide various support to facilitate the tax return preparation process.

• Must be enrolled in an accounting curriculum at the junior or higher level (graduating May 2024 or later)
• Plan to pursue CPA
• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
• Strong planning and organization skills
• Detail-oriented
• Basic understanding of tax services
• Minimum 25+ hour workweek required
