Experience Required:
Requires a university degree in a related field or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in chosen field that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results.
Experience Preferred:
Evidence of strong organizational and professional skills Computer literate. Minimum of three (3) successful years of teaching experience in secondary schools. Succeeded in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting the target population. Evidence of school, community, and parent involvement. Evidence of a strong teaching and professional code of ethics.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Reports directly to the Program Manager. Maintains accurate and current student records. Adheres to all deadlines. Submits Tutorial Report Forms and Attendance Summaries each month. Identifies and recruits eligible students for participation in Upward Bound Central Prep. Develops Individual Learning Plans (IEP). Monitors students' progress, attendance, and behavior throughout the semester. Assists participants with preparation for End of Instruction Assessments.
