ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned by the General Manager.
Analyze financial data of operations in order to educate and advise hotel staff and management on the value and benefits of internal controls and maintaining an efficient operation. Perform daily income audit on all outlets and hotel operations.
Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable; along with general cashiering duties.
. Assist and counsel all department heads in the interpretation of financial data and recommend courses of action to maximize profitability and flow through.
. Prepare forecast and budgets as required. *Hire, train and supervise the Accounting Department staff including coaching, counseling and discipline.
. Ensure the hotel in compliance with all Corporate Audit policies and procedures and implement the agreed upon recommendations.
. Ensure compliance with record keeping policies.
Perform other duties that may be assigned by the General Manager or VP of Accounting.
Ensure that hotel is in compliance with State and Local tax laws. File and pay all applicable hotel taxes, f/b taxes, and any other taxes required by local and state government.
. Prepare needed financial reporting in a timely manner; strict deadlines for reporting.
. Reconcile all operating bank statements.
Oversee all cash handling operations and procedures, including food and beverage.
