Job Summary:

 

Under general supervision, responsible for set-up, clean-up and resetting of event spaces, as well as light custodial and maintenance activities.

This is a late morning/evening position

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assists with classroom and event setups, resets and tear downs
  • Ensures clean presentation of campus through routine litter pickup, regular restroom checks
  • Provides campus safety through daily traffic control, situational awareness and monitoring of facilities
  • Sustains exceptional care and upkeep of campus through basic maintenance functions, such as removing debris from walkways, maintaining landscape, moving furniture, cleaning floors and repairing minor damage
  • Provides floor care and hard surface maintenance through regular stripping, waxing and buffing all interior hard surfaces.
  • Nightly work includes repairing minor interior damage sheetrock, painting, etc.
  • Supports facilities team and campus by completing timely work orders through facilities maintenance software program
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to function in a team setting, to work around students of varying ages and with faculty, parents and facilities team members
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to collaborate with faculty and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes and work with a team for solutions
  • Willingness to work occasional mornings, weekends and snow days as needed
  • Basic computer skills to complete work order requests and respond to emails. MS office preferred.

 

Credentials and Experience

 

  • Experience working with students and in schools is a plus
  • Must have a valid Washington State drivers license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to complete certifications for equipment, safety and building operations is a plus
  • Willingness to pursue certifications and/or training is desirable
  • CDL bus driver certification is a plus
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.

 

Compensation

Hourly pay starting at $20 per hour. Depends on experience.
