Glenwood has a new opportunity to work in our In-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services Program as a Behavior Support Monitor serving adolescents with an autism spectrum disorder. This position’s role is to provide in-home direct ABA services to individuals with autism. The Behavior Support Monitor will be supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and will be trained on Behavior Support Plans. The Behavior Support Monitor will conduct parent training sessions to generalize the services to the natural setting. The Behavior Support Monitor may be asked to attend community outings with the family and teach socially appropriate skills. Data Collection is a key element of the Behavior Support Monitor role, and fidelity with data collection systems is critical. If Behavior Support Monitors are enrolled in Master’s level coursework to sit for the BCBA exam, they are eligible to apply for Glenwood’s ABA fellowship program and may receive Supervised Fieldwork at no charge.

LOCATION: Community Services based out of main campus

SHIFT: Flexible Schedule M-F 10-6

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Must be personable and interact with families in an approachable, professional manner
• Must be able to follow and train parents on behavior support plans written by BCBA
• Should be familiar with ABA teaching methods including Discrete Trial Training (DTT), shaping, and chaining
• Should be fluent in reinforcement and antecedent strategies

• Associates Degree plus one-year supervised experience; or Bachelors degree plus two-years supervised experience working with children with disabilities
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license and driving record acceptable to agency’s insurers; clearance through Alabama Department of Human Resources Child Abuse Registry and ABI/FBI registry; the ability to acquire, perform and maintain certification in First Aid and CPR.
