Summary

The Project Accounting Specialist is an organized, confident, and energetic finance professional. You will be focused on ensuring Telaid delivers on the Telaid Proven Process: Reducing the Time, Task, Risk and Cost in Technology Deployments. You can problem solve, recommend, and implement solutions that are in alignment with our Vision, Annual Goals and Core Values. The organization is growing and the need for strong contributors is essential for our continued success. The Project Accounting Specialist will help by providing analytical and reporting support in order to achieve company financial targets. This role serves both internal and external customers.  Internally, you will provide direct support to the Controller and indirect support to Ownership, Senior Leadership Team, Operations Leadership Team, PMO Business Unit Program & Project Managers and Other Corporate Managers. Externally, you will interact with our customers as it pertains to billing related issues.

Responsibilities

Project Accountant

  • Work with Project Management team to identify correct billing amounts per project
  • Ensure that all Purchase Orders, Work Orders, tickets ect are identified correctly within the projects and are invoiced accordingly
  • Follow up with customers on all missing items that would postpone billing
  • Ensure all change orders are captured and invoiced accordingly
  • Generate project revenue and cost reports for project management team and help identify areas of profit gain/fade and trends
  • Research and answer specific questions from Project Management about project cost and revenue transactions

 

Experience & Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of billings and collections experience.
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and excel in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and

with a sense of urgency.

  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Microsoft PowerBI, and SQL helpful.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and modules, including standard and customer reporting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience with PMI project management methodology (process groups, knowledge areas and processes) is a plus.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Acumatica, and Sage 300 financial software desirable.
  • Experience in a project accounting environment also desirable.
