Description

Position Summary:

The Support Services Specialist completes a wide variety of customer services tasks serving both our clients and our company's internal departments by phone, e-mail, fax and face-to-face communications.  A large portion of tasks originate from in- & out-bound phone calls and worklists.  It is important that the Support Services Specialist abides by HIPAA regulations, practices and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procedures where appropriate as this position may be exposed to a number of environmental hazards. This position may be selected by supervisor as Lead with Lead responsibilities. 

Position Schedule: 8:30am-2:30pm, M-F

Essential Duties:

  1. Phone calls including scheduling& dispatching for procedures, report revisions, verbal test add-on requests, client supply ordering
  2. Resolve specimen issues including missing and/or inaccurate information
  3. Route slides to all CellNetix locations
  4. Printing, ordering and sending customized requisitions to clients
  5. Scan and route gross photos to physicians
  6. Modify internal systems with physician contact information
  7. Envelope and mail daily reports and abnormal test results to clients
Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  1. Must have strong customer service skills
  2. Basic Office suite experience and e-mail etiquette
  3. Prioritize with little supervision
  4. Knowledge of medical and anatomical terminology

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  1. High school diploma
  2. Medical terminology, preferred

Physical Requirements

  1. Walking
  2. Sitting/Computer & telephone use
  3. In-Office Attendance required
  4. Able to lift up to 20 lbs
