Description

Position Summary:

The role of the Assistant Supervisor provides oversight to the Support Services Department, manages all aspects of the Slide Library and Materials Management, and is responsible for triaging and troubleshooting, as well as process improvements and implementation. It is crucial that the Assistant Supervisor is knowledgeable about HIPAA and CAP regulations.

 

Essential Duties:

  1. Manages all aspects of staffing, including but not limited to scheduling and performance reviews
  2. Assists the Supervisor on creating and managing productivity metrics
  3. Functions as key trainer
  4. Provides backup assistance for Continuing Care Coordinators and support services specialists
  5. Works on special projects as assigned by supervisor
  6. Conducts departmental quality control
  7. Flexibility with scheduled working hours
  8. Other duties as assigned

  6. Must be able to learn new software quickly

Qualifications/Experience:

  1. Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  2. Experience using Office Suite required
  3. 1+ year of experience in Customer Services required
  4. 1+ year of management experience preferred
  5. Healthcare or laboratory experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  1. Be able to lift 10+ lbs.
  2. Prolonged siting
  3. Computer use
  4. Environmental hazards such as formalin, communicable disease, fresh human tissue, etc. are present in the workplace
