Facilities Resource Group is looking for commercial plumbing professionals to join their team. Your efforts will have a direct impact on the success of the company. You will direct, supervise, and help develop plumbing apprentices and subcontractors with your hands-on leadership in the installation of our industry-leading tankless water heating systems.

This position requires travel throughout the United States. The Project Lead Installer may work 15-30 hours of overtime per week when traveling out of town. Annual income can exceed $100,000. All travel expenses are paid by the company and a generous per diem for each overnight stay is allocated. Additional paid time off is earned during extended travel.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Install water heating-related equipment according to specifications.
  • Perform plumbing-related repairs.
  • Diagnose plumbing issues in a proactive manner.
  • Lead a team of sub-contractors and apprentices.
  • Communicate to the customer on proper operations of the work completed.
  • Adapt to changing work schedules as business dictates.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 4 plus years of experience in the commercial mechanical / plumbing field.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings and specifications.
  • Willing to travel (up to 75%); work off shift hours and overtime.
  • Good driving record; able to obtain CDL license and DOT Med card; and pull a 25–40-foot trailer.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, sub-contractors, and colleagues.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
  • Must pass pre-employment screenings including background check and drug screen.
  • Possess computer/tech skills including basic Excel spreadsheets, photography, email, and text messaging.
  • Very familiar with the use of laptops, smart phones and tablets.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Preferred Skills

  • Licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber or equivalent skill set.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and implement a solution.
  • Ability to handle pressure and demonstrate a "can do" attitude.
  • Desire to work independently and grow within the position.
  • Desire to help develop plumbing apprentices.
