Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in art and design or a related field with a minimum of two years’ experience teaching.
- Ability to communicate, motivate and understand students, attending to their educational and emotional needs.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with other teachers, support staff, parents and members of the community.
- Ability to recognize and respond to individual and cultural differences in students and use different teaching methods that inspire high student achievement.
- Ability to teach visual art in grades 7-12.
- Strong direct personal experience in studio arts.
- Experience teaching in a range of studio art media and methods with an emphasis on drawing, printmaking, painting, and sculpture.
- Skilled in effective communication.
