Position:          Director of Affordable Housing

 

Reports to:      Vice President, Property & Asset Management

 

Job Summary:

 

The Director of Affordable Housing is responsible for the general management and oversight of the Flaherty & Collins Properties Affordable Portfolio. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Property Management to ensure the development, implementation, and compliance of all affordable housing regulatory requirements. The Director of Affordable Housing will identify operational and regulatory issues, and work to resolve them in order to maximize return on investments, prevent losses, and promote positive relations with investors, owners, and management associates.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

         General Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with F&C Affordable Developers/Asset Manager to satisfy lease-up goals and achieve property stabilization
  • Provide feedback to all levels of F&C Development/Construction regarding success and failures of established procedures
  • Oversee and manage the Flaherty & Collins Properties Affordable Housing Portfolio
  • Monitor affordable sites for compliance with HUD, MOR inspection processes, and audits
  • Ensure sites are following all established HUD guidelines
  • Keep current with affordable housing regulatory guidelines, and ensure property compliance
  • Assists in coordinating HUD and tax credit training for affordable portfolio site staff

 

 

Wage/Hour Status:

 

Salaried/Exempt (not eligible for overtime)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other applicable labor and employment laws.
