Summary of Position

The Data Analyst role will be mainly focused on Asmodee North Americas Regional Studios and serve as a business partner to studio leadership and product line management, distilling data and highlighting trends to inform business decision making. This is a newly created role and will report directly to the director of Publishing Services with exposure to all aspects of the business.


Job Overview

The data analyst will support US Publishing Services & Studios with timely data analysis and reports that highlight a variety of business dynamics, to include but not limited to demand and production forecasting, annual budgeting, product lifecycle, inventory productivity, product launch productivity, and assortment dynamics. This role is key to the evolution of the Publishing Services department and its goal of creating a more datacentric organization. Success will rely on agility, intellectual curiosity, teamwork, and storytelling through data.

The role will require building and fostering strong working relationships with internal teams, an ability to link data over disconnected systems, strong data organizational and reporting skills, a passion for detail, and a solution-oriented mindset. Essential Functions

  • Assemble, analyze, and present data for business reports, ensuring data integrity.
  • Engage with teams, propose sustainable BI solutions, and assist with planning activities that provides data in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of key factors and provides recommended actions.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain, develop, and provide detailed reporting on a daily/weekly/monthly basis for Key Account(s) both on a standardized and customized (as needed) basis.
  • Plan and forecasts for future inventory levels based on sales forecast/sales events, current inventory levels and outstanding purchase orders.
  • Analyze performance data and interpret data trends using a variety of techniques and tools.
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare reports summarizing findings, present logical and objective conclusions, and develop forecasts and data models.
  • Manage special projects as assigned by the department.
  • Creates actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.
  • Carries out post-event analyses to validate forecast assumptions and identifies all additional factors associated with changes.
  • Develops analytics on sales data by customers to help validate sales order quantities based on forecast, inventory levels, sales dynamics, safety stock, and next print date.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in business, MIS, or relevant field/or relevant experience
  • Database management experience
  • Hands-on Experience SQL; Queries, Data relationships and basic programming
  • Microsoft Office experience, including intermediate/advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work effectively with virtual teams of diverse cultural backgrounds, valuing diversity and collaboration
