RailPros provides comprehensive consulting services for the rail industry.  We specialize in areas of RWIC/railroad flagging, project management, observation and inspection, real estate, rail design and engineering, training, and media production.  As a leader in our industry, RailPros’ projects create long-term value for our clients from concept through operation by providing technical excellence and outstanding services.  We are seeking a Structural Engineer with an emphasis on Railroad and Highway Bridge experience to join our growing team in Irvine, CA. 


Our Structural Engineer will design and review new railroad bridges, roadway bridges, maintenance facilities and retaining walls throughout the United States. 


Primary Duties:


  • Analysis and Design of structures including bridges, buildings, canopies, culverts and retaining walls for Railroad, Highways, and other facilities.
  • Construction submittals, RFIs review and structures inspection.
  • Collaborating and working closely with engineering project managers to execute structural engineering project deliverables.
  • Estimation of quantities and cost of materials, equipment, and labor relating to structural engineering project feasibility.



Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil (structures emphasis) or Structural Engineering
  • PE license
  • Minimum 3 years railroad/highway bridge design experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with: MicroStation/AutoCAD, AREMA, AASHTO, ACI, ASCE, CBC, and AISC Codes.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with:  SAP 2000, Risa, LEAP Bridge, Excel, Mathcad
  • Bilingual English-Spanish
