RISE, Inc. is a non-profit, human services agency providing supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities in a variety of program models and we are looking for potential employees with a passion for supporting people with disabilities. If you enjoy helping others and wish to give back to the community this is an excellent way to make a difference. It's also a great opportunity for persons interested in special education, autism, medical issues, psychology and social services.

As an Overnight Respite Provider, you will be given the opportunity and the tools necessary to enhance and enrich the lives of children and adults, as well as, give a much needed break to their parent(s) or guardian. By providing one-on-one support and mentoring, you will be able to help people achieve their goals of learning appropriate/safe boundaries, frustration management, and self-advocacy through 24-hour periods of care.

Respite providers need to be willing to take a child or adult into their own home overnight. Respite usually occurs on the weekend, but can occur at other times as requested by the family on dates that have been coordinated with the Respite Provider. Paid training and administrative support is provided for all employees to help ensure you are comfortable and confident in supporting the individual you welcome into your home.

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Pass approved background check.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Have basic computer skills including email and database software.
  • Have ability to prepare meals and perform light cleaning.
  • A valid driver's license to transport clients may be a requirement in some cases.
  • For those positions requiring driving, a DMV records check is required.
  • Prefer three (3) months of care giving experience.
