Developmental Pathways has an opportunity for an Associate Director of Quality Assurance and Administrative Services in our Program Quality department. This position will develop and monitor systems to ensure continuity of quality assurance, project management and administrative operations within our Case Management and Program Quality departments. Our Associate Director of Quality Assurance and Administrative Services will support development and implementation of workflow process improvements and strategic planning. This position will also develop effective and collaborative working relationships throughout all sections and departments of the organization, supporting professional development of direct reports and staff. Lastly, our Associate Director of Quality Assurance and Administrative Services will support and champion building and sustaining a culture focused on continuous improvement and adaptability, while creating and maintaining effective, efficient and innovative business processes.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental and agency-wide strategic goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; ensure appropriate staff engagement with strategic goals and policies
  • Oversee and assure the implementation of contractual and regulatory compliance and contract deliverables and assures data integrity, as appropriate; adapt and develop policy and processes in response to regulatory changes
  • Oversee and assure the timely processing, submission, and distribution of analysis and reporting, as appropriate
  • Assure that the work of the team is efficient, activities of supervised staff are appropriately prioritized, and workloads are manageable and balanced
  • Provide clear objectives and expectations to staff; offer clarification, direction, and support as needed; take ownership for team outcomes, innovation, and reputation
  • Coach and mentor staff to improve quality of documentation, deadlines, and soft skills
  • Evaluate performance of direct reports through ongoing supervision and regular performance evaluations; monitor performance of subordinate staff and assure performance evaluations are implemented and regularly reviewed
  • Oversee and assist with the recruitment, hiring, training, performance feedback, and evaluation processes of team members
  • Assure quality customer service outcomes are achieved by supervisees and other staff in the PQ Department; anticipate and remove obstacles to achieve necessary outcomes
  • Identify problems and barriers to quality work; develop scope and objectives for resulting projects to develop solutions
  • Manage budgets and approve expenditures; make sure team members are aware of budgetary goals and constraints
  • Monitor workloads to ensure that requirements are met, and workloads are balanced
  • Assist in the development of department policies and procedures as needed and ensure that they are followed; ensure state and federal regulatory guidelines are met as appropriate
  • Make clear, consistent, transparent decisions
  • Comply with and model adherence to all Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Direct and prioritize the activities of staff, as appropriate; provide clear objectives and offer support as needed
  • Conduct and/or delegate department-specific new employee orientation and training

Requirements to be our Associate Director of Strategy and Operations

  • A Bachelor’s degree in human services or behavioral field, or equivalent relevant work experience, or a combination of education and relevant work experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of management experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in human services field (ideally in Developmental Disabilities/long-term services and supports)
  • Ability to interpret and apply state and federal regulatory guidelines
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of I/DD system, including rules, regulations, and available supports and services; interprets and disseminates knowledge to staff
  • Thorough working knowledge of office procedures, systems, and applicable computer software
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to strategically develop, adapt, and maintain systems to streamline processes
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of the legal requirements mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor (DOL), the Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD), and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills


  • Knowledge of Medicaid system and Developmental Disability field preferred
  • Valid Colorado driver license/proof of auto insurance
  • Meet and maintain our driving requirements - no suspensions/revocations in the past 3 years and no more than 2 tickets/moving violations in the past 3 years
