Summary

The Out-of-School Time (OST) Program at Belmont Charter School is designed to provide a community centered atmosphere that our students can access with a seamless transition from their school day. We strive to offer programming to students that they would not get in a traditional school environment. Each of our campuses offers out-of-school-time hours so that students can participate in a variety of clubs in the areas of sports, academic enrichment and the arts.

We are seeking individuals that are passionate about academic enrichment that is equally committed to supporting youth development.  Typical shifts are 3:00-6:00pm.

Description & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide students with support and enrichment in academic subjects
  • Provide students with a fun and engaging experience throughout all the activities.
  • Follow all lesson plans, paying close attention to each day’s key concepts and content.
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well being and attention of all children
  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Available 2-5 days/week, 3:00-6:00pm
  • Experience working with elementary/middle school aged children
  • Willingness to learn new kid friendly programming platforms
  • Responsible and organized
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Undergrad/Graduate students, teachers, and retirees are encouraged to apply.
  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34)
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114)
  • Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168)
