Summary: This position will include a wide variety of activities that revolve around supporting the Tribal Health Experiential Student Internship Seminar (THESIS) Program. Duties range from data entry and collection, data analysis, coordinating with partners and organizations, event organization, virtual event planning, assisting in training, and curriculum building. Other duties may arise not mentioned above that will focus on tribal public health and working with tribes, tribal organizations, and urban Indian organizations.
Job Duties: Under the general direction of the Tribal Health Experiential Student Internship Seminar (THESIS) Program Manager, individual needed to coordinate/assist implementing an 8-week internship program to recruit interns and raise awareness of the need for minorities in the public health workforce. Duties include but are not limited to: developing and maintaining a training schedule, coordinating the use of outside professionals for classes, seminars, webinars, as well as, assist in provide trainings as requested on public health. Coordinate with internal programs and tribes, tribal organizations, state, local entities, and academic institutions regarding collaborating towards contributions to the internship curriculum building. Survey building, implementation and collection, along with data analysis, interpretation and evaluation. Duties will also include coordinating with mentors and training staff in the use of learning management systems, curriculum building, and mentorship expectations. Additionally, duties include assisting with maintaining program website, updating fellows of public health career opportunities, and continuing education opportunities. Maintaining a list serve of all fellows and continuing to foster communication once internships have been completed.
