JNR Incorporated is seeking a IT Desktop Support Specialist  to join the team.

This individual will provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems and assist JNR employees by troubleshooting computer problems. The ideal candidate must have good technical knowledge, be able to communicate effectively, and be customer service oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formatting/reinstalling Window 7, Window 8 and applications
  • Diagnosing PCs for hardware issues
  • Upgrades hardware and software
  • Install and maintain equipment, including workstations, printers, scanners IPhone/IPad and Apple computer
  • Assist with new product evaluation and testing
  • Train users on various software and hardware options
  • Monitor the servers from the monitor server dashboard to spot any problems
  • Daily Check Anti-Virus and Back up log daily
  • Set up new users
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Requirements, or Competencies:

  • One (1)  or more years experience as a Help Desk Support
  • Basic network technology
  • Print Server configuration
  • A+ Certified Preferred
  • Experience with the installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Backup software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge Active Directory permissions, authentication
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including desktops operating system
