Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist

Position Summary:

Under general direction of Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist will help develop and streamline Company recruiting processes and partner with our hiring managers to maximize effectiveness of the hiring and onboarding processes. This position is required to provide exceptional customer service and is active in the planning & design of recruitment and onboarding programs. This position works closely with Hiring Managers, Supervisors and the HR team to accomplish recruitment goals. This position requires a high level of independent judgment and the processing of confidential data.

This position is predominantly remote, with occasional physical presence required in Tukwila, WA and around the Company on occasion.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with the Recruitment and Onboarding of new employees.
  • Assists in design and documentation for the hiring process.
  • Maintain company applicant tracking system including job templates and listings.
  • Maintain Company listings on site.
  • Develop employment advertisements, determine ad placement and schedule in appropriate media to post external advertisements.
  • Screen resumes.
  • Perform interviews with candidates, both evaluating candidates and communicating company information and benefits.
  • Make recommendations and arrange interviews with hiring managers and other staff members.
  • Perform pre-onboarding details such as reference and background checks, I-9 employee verification, as well as hospital site onboarding coordination.
  • Present offers to candidates including negotiations.
  • Organizes logistics and participants for a positive and engaging new hire onboarding program.
  • Build relationships with technical programs, schools and other groups.
  • Assist department with ongoing projects as needed.


  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and make independent decisions and judgments in keeping with the position level.
  • Excellent communication skills (i.e.: reading audience, negotiation, clear presentation)
  • Experience with recruiting process and online tools.
  • Proactive and positive customer service focused attitude.
  • Basic understanding of policies and benefit programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to learn new software.
  • People and customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Experience working with meeting logistics and event planning in multiple formats.
  • Experience working with physicians preferred.
  • Experience working in flexible setting and hours (i.e.: remote, in office, after hours, etc.).


  • Bachelor's degree with related experience preferred.
  • Prior recruiting experience required.
  • Prior experience with HRIS/ATS required.
  • Experience in medical organization, laboratory or hospital setting strongly preferred.

  • Consistent use of computer and mobile devices.
  • Ability to interview candidates online, by phone and in person to make verbal, auditory and visual assessment of candidates.
