Primary Responsibilities:

VOA is looking for a talented social media producer/copy editor for VOA original programs, including 52 Documentary series dedicated to inspiring Gen Z/ Millennial audiences through our new creative programs. This position will play an essential role in VOA Acquisitions & Commissioning team by building strategy and producing/posting content that extends the brand's reach and influence on social platforms. This position will create original text and video content, manage posts, and respond to followers. The social media producer is expected to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends with excellent communication skills and be able to express our companys views creatively. The ideal candidate is someone who has excellent writing skills, is detail-oriented, can juggle multiple assignments, and is able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Deadline-driven mindset and willingness to work flexible hours. This position may require commissioning content.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Develop and implement a comprehensive and cohesive cross-channel social media strategy (paid and organic content development) for VOA's original programs. -Write and produce creative content for VOA's social media presence across multiple social channels by working collaboratively with communications colleagues and other internal teams. -Advanced knowledge of programming content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms. -Develop creative social media campaigns for editorial projects and VOA original shows on streaming and linear channels that drive awareness, tune-in, and ultimately conversion. -Monitor and report on social conversations to guide editorial and social engagement strategies and decisions -Contribute to strategies for audience growth, engagement, and subscriber acquisition efforts for VOA Original programs. -Demonstrated understanding of how the next generation engages with social media platforms. -Current knowledge of copyright laws related to social media publishing. -Developing/producing VOA original programs, including 52 Documentary series

REQUIREMENTS -4+ years of professional experience with a proven track record of creating innovative content for a digital newsroom. -Strong understanding of digital audience and analytics and knowledge of online marketing channels -Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently in a high-pressure environment. -Strong writing, copy editing, and editorial skills. -Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video) -Hands-on experience in content management -Experience editing in Adobe Premiere, After-Effects, and Photoshop -Excellent written and verbal communication skills
