THE POSITION
This expert technical role with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is responsible for develop, monitor and support. This is professional systems architecture work. Employees in this class are responsible for performing moderately to highly complex work on projects with integrated systems that impact multiple applications to support end-user needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop technical strategy, architecture, design, and system application standards for the overall systems, data, and other technologies.
- Evaluate project requirements and produces solution blueprints that enable project teams to develop systems that are robust, flexible, scalable, secure, and that support enterprise strategic initiatives.
- Support System Administrators, Project Managers, Cyber Security, and Government partners to provide IT solutions that are consistent with Enterprise Standards, Architectures and Strategies.
- Responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise's overall application system architecture.
- Provide technical guidance to project and operational teams as appropriate.
- Responsible for researching and providing guidance on emerging technologies and industry trends to better serve the customer systems and business organizations.
- May lead complex projects or tasks that require coordination across various IT and business disciplines.
- Extensive understanding of system integration and infrastructure processes and procedures.
- Create, recommend, implement, and promote continuous improvement.
- Prepare presentations and other documents to deliver to senior leadership.
- Work with internal and external organizations to support various customer user level requirements, including resolving elevated end user support requests, and researching and deploying advanced technologies.
- Perform business process analysis and system requirements development.
- Implement approved system security policies to include the configuration of user access and permission across a variety of systems.
- Monitor application status; support application event triage, monitoring, tracking, and correlation and event characterization and escalation, work with vendors as needed for event resolution.
- Provides technical assistance, training and system documentation for users to promote efficient operation of applications.
