We are accepting applications for Substitute staff: Paraprofessional / Clerical to work within Boyertown Area School District in Boyertown, PA for the 2021 - 2022 school year.

  • This position will provide substitute coverage during the school academic calendar year.
  • Needs within Elementary, Middle and High School schedules.

Boyertown Area School District Secondary Schools:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directly support students at the direction of building Principals and classroom teacher. 
  • (Paras) Provide instructional, behavioral and/or physical assistance to an individual student or a small group of students. Including, but not limited to: the use of assistive technology, on-task prompting, facilitating social skills, toileting and self-care skills.
  • (Clerical / Secretary) Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support building needs. 

Credentialing Requirements:

  • PA Child Abuse Clearance (Current within 1 year)
  • PA Criminal Clearance (Current within 1 year)
  • PA Department of Education FBI Clearance (Current within 1 year)
  • TB screening (Current within 1 year)
  • Education documentation – Diploma or official transcripts

  • High School Diploma required. For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree - Preferred.
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting.

Pay Rate for Substitute: Paraprofessional - $9.88 per hour / Clerical - $10.93 per hour
