Summary

The Investment Center provides investment brokerage and advisory services for current and potential bank customers. This position supports the Investment Officer and Investment Representatives in day-to-day administration and is a key contact and information point for the Investment Center.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage calls from prospective clients, including scheduling appointments, answering basic questions, and coordinating referrals
  • Conduct research needed to assist clients, answer their questions, and resolve problems
  • Assist the Investment Officer by preparing forms, such as withdrawal orders, transmittals, and transaction requests
  • Review new account paperwork for accuracy of information, and ensure all proper account documentation is filed and organized prior to finalizing a transaction
  • Receive and track Investment Center referrals
  • Proactively follow up on account and asset transfers (ACH and direct) and perform general account maintenance
  • Complete and record Investment Center monetary transactions
  • Maintain tickler system for future client contact and follow-up
  • Track existing client files and assist the Investment Officer with scheduling needed account reviews
  • Prepare illustrations to be used in client presentations
  • Communicate as necessary with mutual fund companies and LPL/AVB
  • Maintain compliance files, following all established audit and compliance procedures
  • Perform office support and administration duties such as answering phones, distributing mail, and stocking supplies
  • Prepare reports as necessary to support Investment Officer
  • Notarize documents as required
  • Complete all required bank and Investment Center training as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned for the efficient and effective operation of the Investment Center and the back

Education and Experience

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office Suite
  • Intermediate math, analysis, problem solving, and communication skills
  • At least two (2) years experience in customer service and office administration
  • High school degree or equivalent required. Post-high school education (college/technical school or certificate programs) in business, financial services, or related field preferred
  • Experience working in a broker dealer or investment advisory office preferred
