Contribute your manufacturing or production skills to our industry leading extrusion team. In face of new projects and equipment additions, we are searching for Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift in our Roscoe Facility.

About This Position:

This full-time hourly position is in Roscoe, IL. Pay is depending on experience.

AAE has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Electro-Mechanic Technician. This full-time hourly position is located in Roscoe, IL.


  • Set-up, troubleshoot and repair equipment issues including, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, electrical/electronic controls, PLC controlled systems using ladder logic, Robotic systems, Servo controls, and AC/DC motors.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to increase efficiency.
  • Generate and update technical documentation including maintenance/repair procedures, training others as required.
  • Formulate, schedule and perform preventative maintenance of production equipment as efficiently as possible with minimal impact on the production schedule.
  • Recommend, fabricate and/or assemble new or modified mechanical/electrical/electronic/or industrial control systems, components or assemblies to improve or monitor equipment.
  • Configure devices to connect to network and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Record test procedures, results, and necessary production-related duties.
  • Complete reports and change orders as necessary to remain compliant with SOPs and ISO, documenting daily maintenance and repair activities.


  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic industrial control systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, Servo’s, and Machine control systems with the ability to troubleshoot using GE and Allen Bradley software.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and the ability to disassemble, repair and reassemble mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.


  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma. Advanced education is a plus.
  • A minimum of two years of technical repair experience in an industrial production facility.


  • Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to do work requiring standing with frequent stooping, bending, reaching overhead and sufficient manual dexterity to perform all aspects of the job.
  • Ability to lift and move parts/equipment up to 50 pounds.
