The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support serving as a resource to the Senior Executive Assistant and members of the Leadership Team, in addition to collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The Administrative Assistant will have demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, executive environment. Attention to detail and experience dealing with complex, multi-variable issues are required such as coordinating project activities, scheduling, tracking and follow up.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, based at the Corporate Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Periodic telework will be considered.



  • Schedule appointments including internal and external meetings, engagements, and events
  • Draft correspondence and other documents and maintain files
  • Support the development and creation of project documents, including templates, reports, presentations, and reference material
  • Create, modify, and update online content such as contact lists
  • Review incoming correspondence and follow-up on items that need attention
  • Act as back up for administrative support across the organization, as required
  • Establish priorities and track responses to insure adequate timely responses
  • Organize meetings by arranging facilities and caterers, sending information or invitations
  • Greet guests and provide receptionist/telephone coverage as needed
  • Set up and maintain reception area, conference rooms and kitchen for appearance
  • Maintain regular office supply inventory, purchase, and restocking to include managing incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance with Senior Manager, Information Technology, and ensure that all commonly used machines (i.e., printers, scanners) are in working order and supplied with paper and toner
  • Maintain an elevated level of confidentiality within all areas of the job
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
  • College degree (or equivalent relevant work experience/training)


  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficient with communication tools, such as Microsoft SharePoint, Teams 
  • Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of executive level meetings
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to prioritize and use time efficiently  
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders through strong people skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and adapt to a changing environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, objective decision-making, and act with integrity
  • Adept at accommodating different work styles and perspectives
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality managing sensitive issues and information

The full salary range for this position is $50,000 - $62,000 - $74,400. Also 14 days of annual vacation leave; additional paid holiday leave the week between Christmas and the New Year; 16 weeks of paid parental leave for those w/ EJW 6 months or more; excellent medical and dental insurance with Equal Justice Works paying 100% for employee premiums and 75% for dependent premiums; and a $1000 professional development stipend per year are additional benefits.
