Powisset Farm - Dover, MA

The Opportunity.

Powisset Farm Crew assists with the core functions of CSA production. Farm crew members transplant, weed, trellis tomatoes, and harvest crops. They assist in other farm duties on an as needed basis.


In This Role You Will: 

  • General farm work: planting, seeding, weeding, hoeing, harvesting, post-harvest vegetable handling, cleanup, building and grounds projects, special farm projects. Please note that the CSA farm crew does not work in livestock operations. 

  • There is an opportunity to take on additional responsibility over the course of the season including managing volunteer groups and leading harvest days.  

  • Returning workers have the option to take on more responsibility, such as managing the greenhouse, pick-your-own fields, tractor cultivation, or managing harvest days. 


Other Information



  • This is an entry level position. Farm experience is not necessary for this position. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Experience playing team sports and/or working outside a plus 

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds Ability to work outside in all weather conditions 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to do repetitive work Positive attitude and good sense of humor

  • Valid driver’s license required 

  • CORI background check required 


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation is per hour based on experience.  

  • Housing is not available for this position. 

  • Farm produce: farm grown produce for personal use. 

  • Training: access to planning documents and records, farmer’s library; farm safety Training; Free admission to Trustees of Reservations properties.
