Summary
The Jewish Silicon Valley Director of Operations is responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer with the coordination of programs, managing facility rentals, assisting in campus operations and assisting with campus agency programs as necessary. Additionally the Director of Operations will look for opportunities to contribute to net membership growth and profitability while assisting members/customer service requests and support the Membership Department, facilitating Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center (part of Jewish Silicon Valley) Membership/Fitness & JSV Philanthropy events, and supporting Levy Family Campus as a whole.
Areas of Responsibility
Responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of the MODs (Managers on Duty) [both in-person and virtual], responsibilities include but are not limited to, providing leadership, direction, training, and support to the staff.
Work together as a team with all APJCC/JSV Departments, promoting community center services and programs
Assist in the overall coordination of all agency programs and activities in cooperation with program and support staff, which includes A/V needs, room-set-ups, etc.
Oversee the Hospitality Rentals and Budget. Work with marketing to grow the rentals department. Fill in as an MOD when needed.
Oversee the budget, marketing, recruitment, schedule coordination, training and appraisal of the Hospitality Department.
Oversee the IT Budget for JSV, as it refers to equipment (both ordering and installation), troubleshooting on-site as needed, and act as the main liaison between IT Vendors and JSV (and other campus agencies).
Maintain EMS, as needed. This includes, but is not limited to, making sure room signs are posted and updated daily, book occasional meetings, and update staff contact information as necessary.
Work with the Chief Operating Officer as needed for planning and implementations of APJCC programs and events, which includes but is not limited to Capital Campaigns & Projects, Lay Leader & Board Meeting documents and security projects for both the Campus and JSV.
Pull necessary Accounting Reports regarding building use, per agency for Department and CAM billing.
Customer-facing responsiveness to member issues as they arise at the Service Desk and/or in daily rounds to different areas of the center such as the locker rooms, Fitness Center, pool, basketball gym, soccer field, Fitness Studios, auditorium and preschool/Club J.
Acting as conduit, as well as acknowledging and addressing appropriately a member's lifecycle event; to include but not limited to - births, marriages, bar/bat mitzvah, serious illnesses, deaths, etc.). *This is at the discretion of the Chief Operating Officer as time allows*
Must be able to work non-traditional business hours, including weekends and evenings and JSV/APJCC Events. Additional training and certifications such as Food Handlers (Safety Manager), CPO, and others, required as requested by the Chief Operating Officer
