Job Description

One Line Job Description: The Childcare Coordinator provides quality childcare when needed for ministries, events, special events, and MOPS.

10 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all Childcare employees
  • Conduct telephone and personal interviews with all potential childcare employees, including calling personal references and past employers
  • Maintain a safe adult/child ratio in each room by scheduling sufficient Childcare employees for each event
  • Coordinate with Kids Ministry to provide initial and recurring training for Childcare employees
  • Investigate, document, coordinate, and report (as necessary) all incident reports (to include child abuse)
  • Mediate all concerns with employees, Pastoral Staff, Ministry Leaders, and parents
  • Work closely with church administrative staff on all administrative matters to include announcement information and Childcare reservation needs
  • Maintain close professional relationships with all Childcare employees
  • Coordinate with Associate Kids Pastor to arrange appropriate curriculum for lessons/activities for use by Childcare employees as needed
  • Work with the Kids Ministry Administrative Assistant to reserve appropriate rooms and create registration forms for childcare events
  • Be available to provide coverage for shifts as needed
  • Attend MOPS Leadership meetings, events, and trainings when needed or as requested

Other Duties:

  • Coordinate, schedule, copy, distribute and email monthly schedules to Childcare employees and all other appropriate individuals
  • Create, evaluate, update, copy, distribute, and file all paperwork regarding childcare
  • Prepare letters of recommendation for former employees as needed
  • Prepare and distribute all necessary handouts and communications to parents
  • Coordinate with Finance Team on individual Childcare employee timesheets, paychecks, and all necessary documents
  • Coordinate all supplies with the Kids Team
  • Complete Performance Improvement Plans and re-training as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Active All In Partner at Pantano Christian Church
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Office-related computer skills, including experience with common office software/programs and online applications
  • Ability to effectively utilize online communication, email and calendar tools
  • Ability to work productively without direct supervision
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with team members, volunteers, and other staff
  • Ability to manage people and resources effectively
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions sometimes during highly stressful situations
  • Experience with Mac and macOS a plus
  • Experience with Google Drive a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel a plus
