Position Summary

The position of the Loan Operations Specialist III is responsible for ensuring adherence to all Bank policies and procedures, all applicable state and federal banking regulations, entity and loan documentation requirements, data integrity and Loan Operations standards, procedures and service levels. 

 

The primary responsibilities for this position relate to various types of commercial, SBA and commercial real estate loans and include but may not be limited to;

  • Perform various searches such as Flood Determination, UCC Search, Environmental and entity searches
  • Generate loan documentation using documentation software
  • Review attorney prepared documentation and approve for closing
  • Fund loan proceeds via wire transfer, deposit to account or check
  • Interpret documentation and translate to data input sheet for booking
  • Be a cheer leader!

The position is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of servicing loans, and is expected to provide leadership, training and support to less experienced loan operations specialists and other staff members.

Minimum requirements

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position.   • A minimum of five (5) years of related experience and/or training at a financial institution in the loan operations department is required.  Work related experience must include;
  • Preparing consumer, commercial and real estate loans using Laser Pro loan documentation is required
  • Reviewing attorney prepared loan documentation s
  • Working in a loan operations and customer service environment at a financial institution
  • Interpreting documentation and translating to data input sheet for booking
  • Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
  • A degree from an accredited or university preferred
  • Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in branch operation activities, terminology and products and services.
  • Working knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and loan policies.
  • Intermediate skills in using computers and core processing, documentation and imaging systems; Microsoft or Google word processing, spreadsheets and Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.
  • Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
  • Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors.

                                                                                                                    

Essential Functions:

  • Generate consumer, commercial real estate loan documentation using Laser Pro
  • Review and approve attorney prepared loan documentation for closing
  • Fund and board loans
  • Operate personal computer to process loan account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assists in resolving problems within given authority.
  • Record instruments with the applicable state and/or county
  • Scan documents.
  • Assist callers as needed and/or direct callers to applicable Bank personnel.
