Summary of Position

The Students Associate at The Capital Hills Campus assists in the carrying out of the vision of Summit Student Ministry in partnership with families to see a generation that will love Christ and his mission. They will do this by working both internally within our CPC Student Ministry as well as externally with our community schools.

  • Experience and passion for evangelizing, discipling, and leading students

  • Strong desire to see students grow in their love for the Lord and love for the lost

  • Functions well within a team

  • Attention to detail

  • Proactive

  • Competent in organization, administration and event planning

  • Proficient in using all elements of Google Drive

  • A member of the Summit Church or willing & able to become a member

  • Adhere to the Student Ministry EPOD

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Campus/Family Ministry (1-2 hours)

  • Assigned to one school in the area that they will try to engage in some capacity (lunch, FCA, Young Life, clubs, sports, mentoring, etc.)

Weekend Programming (8-10 hours)

  • Assigned to plan for, oversee, and do Master Teaching for one of our Sun MS Small Group times.

  • Lead the planning and execution of Elevate (corporate worship service) during Sunday Night Family Programming; teaching in rotation with Student Director. 

  • Train and Develop a team of leaders for students programming. 

Administration (4-6 hours)

  • Take part in weekly Student Ministry trainings/meetings.

  • Help with any administrative tasks needed; specifically, if it involves areas of ministry they are currently involved in.

  • Take oversight in FTG follow-ups for Student Ministry, Monthly Student Ministry Emails, 

  • Lead the student ministry communication strategy and execute any other administrative tasks assigned by the Student Director. 

Event Planning (1-2 hours)

  • Lead the execution of special and ongoing middle school events. Provide day or week of logistical coordination ensuring timeline and troubleshooting as needed.

Discipleship  (1-2 hours) 

  • Identifying key leaders and/or students who need to be intentionally developed into disciples who make disciples.

 

*And any other tasks assigned by the Campus Pastor or Student Director.
