Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers
  • Provide daily direction to tellers under their supervision
  • Completes work with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Ensure that customers are waited on in a timely manner
  • Prove and maintain branch cash vault
  • Order and prepare money shipment to Federal Reserve for the branch
  • Buy and sell money from/to the vault
  • Provide supervisor override approval on teller transactions within designated limits
  • Audit Teller drawers, Cash recycler and dispenser
  • Review and complete daily 4/Sight proof corrections
  • Balance Vault, Cash recycler and Coin machine
  • Ensure tellers under their supervision balance at the end of the day
  • Accepts retail and commercial checking and savings deposits
  • Accepts loan payments of all types
  • Sell cashiers checks and money orders
  • Process cash advances on credit/debit cards
  • Process withdrawals and cash checks up to designated limits
  • Assure compliance with all applicable Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations
  • Have knowledge about the importance, requirements, and procedures for completing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Regulation CC holds
  • Know when to report suspicious transactions, activity, or situations to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding all issues of the teller line
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive product knowledge
  • Ongoing coaching of teller staff regarding customer service, regulatory requirements, and product knowledge

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Review / modify Tellers policies and procedures as needs
  • Schedule teller hours
  • Compliance with dual control and security procedures
  • Promote and effectively sell the Banks depository products and services to current and prospective customers through referrals
  • All other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years customer service and cash handling experience including at least one to two years teller supervisory, or retail management experience required
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office

Physical Requirements

Time spent standing: 5-8 hours

Lift (weight): 50 pounds Frequency: as necessary

Functional: Visual Acuity, Audio Acuity, Manual Dexterity, Speak/Read/Write, Ability to efficiently process data, discern patterns, and recognize inconsistencies in information
