XL Parts is the fastest growing Direct-to-the-Installer parts supplier in the Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, Louisiana  and Oklahoma City areas.  We carry 180,000 different part numbers covering 185 product lines from dozens of Manufacturers.


XL Parts is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable associate to join our team in Houston. The AP associate is responsible for answering phones and assisting customers (both internal & external), as well as Accounts Payable duties. 


The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skill sets and experience:

  • Must have experience in high volume invoice processing
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with excellent record keeping skills


Responsibilities Include:

  • Day-to-Day processing of invoices, and debit memos as issued by the vendors for product and services purchased. 
  • Validation of an authorized purchase with purchase order and/or authorized signature, review of costs, and quantities ordered vs. received vs. invoiced.
  • Filing shortage and cost variance claims with vendors
  • Following up with vendors on credits (debit memos) due to the company.
  • Account reconciliations – Vendor accounts


  • Must be able to work well in a group environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines


Physical Demands: Typical 8-hour day to include sitting and heavy computer usage. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. 


Compensation:  The A/P associate compensation consists of hourly pay based on hours worked.

Estimated 40 hours per week and paid bi-weekly.
