Warehouse Specialist (Verifier)

Lakeshore Beverage, A Hand Family Company is seeking a Warehouse Specialist (Verifier). This position is located at our Halsted St. Warehouse: 4300 S. Halsted Street

3^rd SHIFT WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST –VERIFIER

The person selected to fill this position will be expected to learn the skills needed to safely and effectively verify the accuracy of a customer’s order that has been picked by other warehouse workers.

We’re seeking a reliable individual who has good work habits, including safe work practices, good attendance and punctuality, the ability to work well and get along with others, and the ability to learn and apply new skills. Good math skills are important in this job, and attention to detail is an absolute must—the accuracy of the verifier’s work is directly related to the accuracy of the orders delivered to the customer, and therefore the verifier’s work has a strong impact on customer satisfaction and the Company’s reputation with our customers.

This is a full time position is an hourly wage position, Sunday through Thursday, with hours beginning approximately at 8 p.m. and ending when all work is complete (which can be earlier or later than 5 a.m.., depending upon the needs of the night, and you are expected to stay until the work is completed—it is not unusual to work a 10-hour shift and occasionally longer).

Qualified candidates will be able to lift up to 60 pounds repetitiously. Forklift experience is a plus.

• High school diploma or GED certificate;
• Previous warehousing or distribution experience preferred;
• Must be forklift certified;
• Valid Class A CDL preferred;
• Safe driving record;
• Ability to safely operate job related equipment (i.e. hand truck, pallet jack, etc.);
• Work varied shifts as needed;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision;
• Ability to work in cold temperatures;
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job;including lifting up to 60 pounds repetitiously
• Team orientation.
