Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity and respect.


Prospect House – This program provides emergency shelter to thirty-six adults daily in a facility located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  The program provides comprehensive case management services to meet the varied and complex needs of individuals who are homeless, and work to connect clients to a long-term housing solution.  The case management program at Prospect House includes assessment, transportation, life skills training, as well as individual, group, and family sessions. 



  • Provide employee coverage for duration of entire shift and maintain schedule as designated by supervisor.
  • Provide counseling interventions for residents as needed during shift.  Handle resident requests.
  • Provide intake assessments for new and return admissions.
  • Follow agency and governmental requirements in maintaining accurate, objective resident’s files and daily log. 
  • Provide other written reports as required.
  • Uphold confidentiality regulations.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Perform regular (hourly) rounds throughout entire building.
  • Document any resident, building or maintenance problems or concerns.
  • Maintain professional role-model image for residents.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly per diem staff meeting.
  • Participate in individual supervisory sessions.
  • Perform various tasks which are requirements of specific shifts, e.g. assigning and overseeing chores, maintain laundry list, room checks, etc.
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and offices before end of shift.
  • In all aspects of job functions, operate with in the agency and program treatment philosophy.
  • Attend and participate in agency/program in-service trainings.
  • Utilize and follow emergency on-call procedure as needed.
  • Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor


  • Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences and two (2) years experience in counseling preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Substantial specialized judgment and skill in observation, care and counsel of the ill.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and to assume initiative.
  • Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships. 
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to project a professional image.



  • Incumbents may be required to secure professional certification and/or license.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license may be required.
