Lakeshore Beverage is a Chicagoland beverage distributor that’s deeply passionate about beer, cider and wine. We are currently seeking a self-motivated, highly-organized team member to assist the sales team in producing maximum sales and distribution of draft and/or package products and providing quality service to customers. Lakeshore Beverage is seeking a talented and self-motivated employee for position in our sales department. This employee will be responsible for increasing sales and profitability for identified key accounts through effective execution of marketing strategies for products and programs, development of sales goals and initiatives, and coordination with other Sales team members.

This position's sales territory is located in Chicago. The On-Premise Key Account Manager will travel to Lakeshore Beverage's Chicago location for monthly meetings and other occasional business needs.

The On-Premise Key Account Manager will work closely with the Sales Manager to develop a gross profit, distribution, price, brand feature, promotion and execution plans for assigned key accounts. They will build relationships with account personal, which includes customers and top management. They will work with the Channel manager to prepare and submit sales reports, as well as educate customers about terminology and benefits of products in order to improve product sales or renew contracts. The On-Premise Key Account Manager will service the customer and develop collaborative relationships with upper management.

We’re looking for a great communicator with good knowledge of the local market, or similar markets, who wants to learn the business and help us drive sales and results through strong marketing program execution, great relationships with customers, excellent customer service, innovative merchandising, highly self-motivated, and good attention to detail combined with excellent follow-through. We are looking for a person who has the potential to become a true sales professional—in actions, appearance, and results.

Qualified candidates will have deep knowledge of the beer industry, especially its competitive opportunities and threats. Sales management; people management and development experience is desired. This position requires sound computer knowledge and the ability to learn and use provided software such as VIP, Excel, iDig, Formstack, etc.. A strong commitment to excellent customer service and the follow-through to fulfill that commitment is essential. This is a fast-paced position that requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities on a daily basis.

  • High School diploma or GED certificate
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Requirements:

  • 5-7 years Progressive sales and management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or some college credits
