Lakeshore Beverage is a Chicagoland beverage distributor that’s deeply passionate about beer, cider and wine. We are currently seeking a self-motivated, highly-organized team member to assist the sales team in producing maximum sales and distribution of draft and/or package products and providing quality service to customers. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and will be motivated to advance—success in this position can lead to an opportunity as an Account Sales Representative.

This is a full-time regular position offering excellent benefits, including a company vehicle, medical, dental, and 401(k) plans, paid vacation and personal leave, plus more.

This position's sales territory is located in the North Chicago Suburbs territory. The sales support representative will travel to Lakeshore Beverage's Arlington Heights location for monthly meetings and other occasional business needs.The Sales Support Rep's primary duty is to fill in for the Account Sales Representative when needed and/or to supplement the Account Sales Representative’s efforts to achieve sales volume and merchandising goals while effectively presenting the Company’s brands to the retailer and the consumer.

The Sales Support Rep is expected to learn and master the Company’s internal sales processes and procedures in order to effectively mirror the activities of the Account Sales Representative in monitoring and controlling inventory levels for each account, including restocking all coolers and in-store space and displays to provide maximum availability of products, while maintaining quality control and freshness standards. The Sales Support Rep is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, productive relationships with all customers to facilitate sales.

We’re looking for a great communicator with good knowledge of the local market, or similar markets, who wants to learn the business and help us drive sales and results through strong marketing program execution, great relationships with customers, innovative merchandising, and good attention to detail combined with excellent follow-through. We are looking for a person who has the potential to become a true sales professional—in actions, appearance, and results.

Applicants must possess the following qualities in order to be successful in this role:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Clean driving record with few or no infractions.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds repetitiously.
