LOAD CREW TRAINEE - $16 per hour

Lakeshore Beverage of Bloomington, IL is looking for employees who are willing to work hard and learn our business. We have a solid history of promoting from within and the work in the warehouse can prepare you for a delivery or sales department opportunity, as well as an opportunity for upward growth within the warehouse department.
Warehouse trainees learn our beverage products, which include beers, liquors, ciders and waters, and prepare orders for customers that go out on our delivery trucks. The work requires frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of beverage products. Manual dexterity, coordination, and mobility are required. This is a position that requires a high level of personal fitness to meet the physical demands of the job.
This is a Monday through Thursday position, starting in the late afternoon/early evening (3 pm or after) and ending when all orders are picked and all trucks are loaded. 10 to 12 hour shifts and sometimes longer are to be expected, especially as we enter the peak season of warm weather months.
The successful warehouse trainee will:
- Select products, build orders, and load trucks accurately and in a timely manner
- Operate various types of warehouse equipment safely
- Rotate products in the warehouse to make sure products do not expire
- Maintain quality control records
- Clean and organize the facility and make it ready for the next day’s work
This job requires acceptable results on a pre-employment background check, drug-test, and physical exam.
