General Duties

Responsible for recommending, planning, and executing BankCard and Merchant Services marketing strategies. Key responsibilities include developing new and existing business opportunities, ensuring strong communication with customer banks, providing analysis and recommendations for product promotion and positioning, and implementing campaign strategies to support department goals. Provides direct support for product applications, brochures, disclosures, plastics design, training materials, proposal packets, and gift card program. Operational hours are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in a normal office environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Bank Card management to analyze acquisition and usage trends, developing, recommending and implementing strategies to promote bank card products and services to new and existing banks and/or direct to cardholders. Serves as primary point of contact for banks regarding campaigns.
  • Ensures regular communications occur with banks, seeking product feedback and providing analysis and recommendations to improve product positioning and promotion.
  • Develops, delivers, and continuously evaluates effectiveness of bank training programs.
  • Creates and maintains sales presentation materials and provides general support for bank’s sales efforts in promoting the bankcard and merchant program to new and existing banks.
  • Analyzes and reports on KPIs, including promotion outcomes.
  • Conduct research to identify new market opportunities, product enhancement ideas, and competitiveness of product offering.
  • Designs, creates, and updates core program marketing materials as needed including online applications, brochures, job aids, and sales flyers. Writes official communications to ensure professionalism, accuracy, and consistency of messages within BBOK brand standards.
  • Leads marketing related projects and serves as marketing subject matter expert on other projects. Coordinates with Risk Manager and Operations Manager to ensure team is prepared to support promotions.
  • Works closely with Compliance Officer and Bankcard Manager to ensure all Bankcard printed materials meet regulatory requirements.
  • Works closely with Operations team to provide support with gift card functions, audits, conversions, mergers and acquisition. Maintain Bank Card CIF, assist with tables and parameter verification.
  • Ensures compliance and audit requirements are met on all responsibilities assigned by adhering to Visa and MasterCard regulations as well as federal rules and regulations. These regulations include but are not limited to the Truth in Lending Act, Electronic Funds Transfers Act and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (Financial Privacy and Safeguard Rules), Identity Theft/Red Flag Rules and Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

5+ years marketing experience, Marketing degree preferred.
