JOB DESCRIPTION
1. JOB TITLE: Night Auditor
2. DEPARTMENT: Front Desk
3. SCOPE OF
RESPONSIBILITY: Posts, compiles and verifies the correctness
of all of the Hotel’s accounts on a nightly
basis.
4. EMPLOYEE MANUAL: All employees must completely understand
the requirements of their job. Prior to being
assigned to the position, a complete
understanding of the Employee Manual
is necessary since the person holding the
position will be subjected to the rules and
regulations listed in the manual.
5. ESSENTIAL TASKS:
a. Post room and tax accurately, verifying postings to the
Housekeeper’s and Rooms Revenue Report.
b. Balance all income within proper areas.
c. Prepare the Daily Sales and Revenue Report.
d. Perform all activities of a Front Desk Clerk.
e. Follow Night Auditor’s Checklist completely.
f. Set up Continental Breakfast presentation.
g. Transmit nightly figures to Wilson Hospitality. Fax Daily Sales and
Revenue Report to Wilson Hospitality.
h. Complete required reports correctly. Assemble audit bag.
Close out day on register.
i. Check and change any ribbons, paper, etc., as needed.
j. Vacuum lobby area before morning.
k. Transport ice to the lobby for the continental breakfast setup.
Do any last minute ordering for breakfast.
l. Open lobby doors at assigned time.
